Greetings Gamers!
This is a (very very late) page to inform you of a small gaming event we are planning in late September. We are arranging GamingDays:AFK Mini from Friday September 24th to Sunday September 26th at the Coosawattee River Resort in Ellijay, GA. We anticipate this being about half the size of the other AFKs we have thrown, and we are mainly just looking to get together with people and play some games. As such, there's less "programming" planned for this event. This will mostly be friends, food, drinks, and games. Not a bad way to spend a weekend.

We will be requesting that all attendees be vaccinated for Covid-19 in order to be admitted to the event.

Where / When is it happening?

We have rented a facility called Water Tower in the Coosawattee River Resort. Address: 136 Water Tower Villa Circle, Ellijay, GA. It's a former restaurant space with a large central room, lots of tables, and a commercial kitchen. We have the space every day from 9 AM to 11 PM for all the gaming we can squeeze in. 

 

While we are gaming inside Water Tower, we will be whipping up tasty meals in the on-site kitchen. All of the dining and gaming will be at Water Tower. We will probably bring in catering for at least one meal but the rest we will be cooking in the kichen. Snacks and (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) drinks will be available throughout the weekend. 

The event begins on Friday afternoon around 2 PM and will last until Sunday evening at 11 PM. Dinner is served on Friday, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served Saturday and Sunday. 

Visitors to Coosawattee River Resort also get to enjoy its many ammenties - indoor and outdoor pools, several parks by the river, a rec center with arcade machines, workout equipment, tennis courts, and more.

Where will we sleep?

UPDATE - The Water Tower Villas described below are now all sold out. But fear not if you haven't booked yet - There are a second set of River Park A-frames located a short 1 mile drive down the hill. These have just as much room and an identical layout that sleeps 6 (2 queen bedrooms, and one bedroom with 2 twin beds / 2 bathrooms) to the Water Tower villas. They also back up directly to a green and the river for a picture-perfect view. Call Amy at the number listed below to book these as well. Here are some pictures:

(These villas are now all rented. River Park Villas above are still available.) Right across the parking lot from Water Tower are a number of 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom villas that can be rented. There are 2 queen bedrooms, and one bedroom with 2 twin beds. There's also a living room, a dining area, a kitchen, and a deck. There are lovely mountain views and a 42 inch television in each villa. They officially sleep 6 people. Villas will be booked directly with Coosawattee.
